Good morning, Beth Ann. You made me happy when I read you were coming to Rockport (20 miles from where I live,) and then wistful when I checked my calendar. Then even happier when I went to Maine Media Workshop's website and saw different dates - July 17 to 21, and I had that highly unusual beast -- a week I could devote to me ! I'm registering this morning, and filled with anticipation.

SUSAN! OMG I can't believe I put the dates wrong in my newsletter. They are July 17-21 as you note. I just edited above the dates. I'm SO happy you're coming! It will be super fun!

I am so glad I found your newsletter, Beth Ann. Heating & Cooling was a huge inspiration and changed my writing life! Too late, I find out about your Rockport workshop...I'm down the coast an hour or so on Southport Island (Boothbay region) but already committed to a writing retreat on Monhegan this fall and unless I pull a Stephen King and publish a bestseller in the next month, can't quite afford both. Any workshops planned for next year?

Hi Amie! Thanks for the kind words. Boothbay is beautiful! and oh I wish you could join the workshop. It's going to be so fun (and only I think 5 students). Can't we have a bake sale or something? 😉. I don't have any workshops scheduled for next year--though if I do one, I'll for sure post it here on my newsletter!

A bake sale...hell, why not? It worked for my Camp Fire Girls troop's fall campout. https://open.substack.com/pub/morningpagemashup/p/sketchbook-stories-the-bake-sale?r=78mjm&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

Ha Ha! Didn't mean to call you a liar! But I kinda liked that you forgot meeting Mary Karr . . . made me feel better about the things I forget on a regular basis! Loving the newsletter . . . keep it up!
